Progress of the Church of God from Makindu, Kenya.
The Lord sent us on an evangelical visit in the area of Kibwenzi District in 2009. By then, we were living in the affluent Thika Town and ministering around Nairobi and Thika. Immediately we finished the meeting, our heart was burdened to settle in the area to minister to the dear souls of the area. It is an area that is characterised by acute food shortages as it is ussually the dry area where great poverty prevails. We want to share some pictures of some common scenes in the area. Please, pray for us as we minister in these areas. We face difficulties that cannot be explained easily.
Here below is a picture of a homestead in the area. It is only by the grace of God these people survive the regular droughts. Some times, the areas go for 4 years without rainfall.
Here below is another picture showing how the water is trapped during the good year when the scanty rains come. Water purification is necessary but poverty and ignorance are a great hindrance to this.
Below, we show the way we carry the water here–donkeys are a great help in the villages.
Finally, we want to show you one of our houses of worship in the village of Kalii, a few kilometers from Makindu Town.
Please, pray for our efforts in this poor area. We are working in very difficult conditions, but we want souls making it to heaven. For those who feel that God wants them to help the work here, please, contact us. Our email address is in the contact page of this blog. If any one of you Dear saints would like to visit us in the area, we have a camp meeting in December. Please, contact us and we will give you all the necessary details.
May the Dear Lord keep all His Saints up high in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
Amen.
